The Kiri Vehera depicts a beautiful relationship between Hinduism and Buddhism.  My Scool  Debarawewa Central College stands as the only National School in the Tissamaharama Education Zone in the Hambantota District. It has enriched the community by providing quality education and obtaining extraordinary results at public examinations. Debarawewa Central was established in 1936 by then village leader Mr.D.D. Senanayake to commemorate his late son. It was firstly known as Debarawewa Vidyalaya and there were only 35 students and three teachers. In 1944 with the ideas of Dr.C.C.    Beauty of Motherland  My country is Sri Lanka. It is a small island which is in the Indian ocean. It is known as the “pearl” of the Indian ocean. It lies between longitudes 79 and 81 east and latitudes 5 and 10 north. From north to South the island is 425 kilometers long. From west to east it is 225 kilometers wide. The capital city of Sri Lanka is Sri Jayawardanapura Kotte. The island has a tropical climate. Two monsoons coming from the north east and the south west bring rain to all parts of the country. The temperature ranges between 20 to 30 centigrade. In the central hills the climate is cooler. There are many different wild flowers, shrubs and trees here and the Peradeniya and Huggala botanical gardens have a large variety of tropical plants. It has many mountains, waterfalls, rivers, forests, tanks, flower gardens, animals, birds, beaches and ruined cities.
